Fred Bartlett is an educational consultant who brings over three decades of service and passion for working with young people to Passport 2 College. From his early days as a YMCA Professional working with high school and college age youth, through to his 33 years of admissions/higher education experience, Fred has never lost sight of what caring guidance and direction can mean for future student success.

Holding a Master of Education degree in Guidance and Psychological Services from Springfield College, Fred also served Springfield for 24 years in admissions leadership roles which culminated in his position as Director of Admissions from 1986 to 1997. Following this assignment, Fred joined the staff at Florida Southern College, Lakeland Florida as a Regional Director and guided hundreds of New England families through the admissions and financial aid process via a regional office which he developed for Florida Southern College. Fred is known in the profession for his ethical standards and subscribes to the Statement of Principles and Good Practice of the National Association of College Admission Counselors.

Fred's years in education have provided him with valuable experiences and a vast network of contacts in admissions and college counseling. He is a frequent panelist throughout New England on topics ranging from college visits and college interviewing, workshops for faculty on writing successful references and a featured speaker on the overall college search and how to find the best college “fit”. Fred has also served on the faculty of the New England Association of College Admission Counseling Summer Institute and helped to train and develop new guidance counselors and admissions professionals who are entering the field.

• International travel through the European Council of Independent Schools
  
• National travel to schools and colleges throughout the United States
  
• Providing workshops and extensive training on the college interviewing process
  
• Planning and developing new student orientation programs for those entering college for the first time.
  
• Directing transfer admissions and working with students who are transitioning to other colleges.
  
• Guest lecturer in the graduate program at Springfield College and Suffolk University.
