Passport 2 College - “One Stop” $400
For families who are looking for an initial consultation and
who would benefit from a personal one to one meeting with
Fred to gain information and perspective on where they stand
in the admissions/college search process.
Services include:
Initial introductory call to begin the process (usually 30
minutes or more)
- Review of questionnaires submitted prior to consultation.
This includes: review of academic record, standardized testing
(when available), personal and teacher references as well
as any additional educational testing.
- Clarify students educational goals and aspirations
- Analysis and advice on application strategies and college
choice including suggestions on current and future coursework,
career interests, and choice of college major.
- Review of college admissions timeline, including standardized
testing schedule
- Discussion of extra curricular activities to assist with
developing a student profile/resume’.
- Create a list of potential colleges/universities which
fit the student’s academic and personal profile
- Develop a plan for success!
Passport 2 College - “Around the World”
Designed for the student and family who are searching for a
long term connection with Fred and would like to explore the
world of college admissions and financial aid. “Around
the World” offers complete guidance and information on
the college search process.
Services include all those offered from the Passport2College,
“One Stop” plus many additional features including
but not limited to:
- Provide on-going guidance throughout the college process
- Help and strategies for visiting colleges and universities.
- Preparing for college interviews ( Fred specializes
in this area)
- Assistance with essay writing
- Help with college choice from among those institutions
where the student has been admitted; finding the right “fit”
- Unlimited email access for answers to questions throughout
the year
- In depth discussion on Fred’s “5 essential
questions”.
- Assistance with financial aid issues including timetables,
discussion of matters relating to FAFSA, CSS Profile, demystifying
the “language” of financial aid, and help with interpreting
college and university financial aid decisions.
- Follow up with the student during the first semester
in college.
Fees
for “Around the World” are based on the year of
your son or daughter’s graduation from high school.
For those graduating in 2009- total fee of $2,500
(retainer of $2,000 and senior year payment of $500)
Hourly
Many families appreciate the opportunity to engage Passport
2 College through a part of the year at a time where critical
help is needed. These services mix many of the elements from
the above lists in order to maximize our support. At a rate
of $100 per hour, typical expenditures might range between
$200-$600 depending on needs.
